May 18, 2023 - Dean Rodney Miller will retire in June following 19 years leading the College of Fine Arts at Wichita State University. During his tenure, the School of Digital Arts was created and enrollment in the college has grown to over 1,000 students.

May 9, 2023 — Shocker graduate Alissa Haddock has spent her whole life battling liver disease. Now she has a Wichita State diploma and a new liver to help her start the next phase of her life.

April 25, 2023 - John Kirk returned to college at Wichita State University to study vocal music and dive into activities. April 21, 2023 — Angel Dao used her time at Wichita State to develop professionally and make connections within the industry she plans to pursue while finding time to care of her mental health.

March 30, 2023 - Wichita State University students use the editing suite at Shocker Studios for their video projects. The studio features theater lighting and seating, a 4K digital cinema compliant projector and a 200-inch screen. “No one else has this, certainly no one in the Midwest,” said Justin Rorabaugh, director of Shocker Studios.

Feb. 27, 2023 — The classic sit-com set – think anything from “I Love Lucy” to “Seinfeld” to “The Big Bang Theory” – is now a teaching tool at Wichita State University’s Shocker Studios.

June 10, 2022 -- Tiahna Padilla is a senior majoring in computer engineering and an animation. She is currently utilizing her skills as an intern at Textron Aviation as an IT business analyst.

May 16, 2022 - Cameron McGinley’s work with machine learning with Dr. Sergio Salinas grew into one of the most rewarding parts of his education at Wichita State. McGinley will attend the University of California, San Diego for a Master of Science in computer science. Cameron is one of more than 2,400 students eligible for spring 2022 graduation. May 5, 2022 – Hannah, from Augusta, Kansas, will graduate in spring 2022 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design She chose to attend Wichita State because of how Wichita State helps students find internships and hands-on learning experiences.
